Washington, January 8, 2016 – For decades, SNAP has been proven to be one of the most responsive programs in lifting Americans out of poverty. Proposals to harm SNAP through block grants would eviscerate the social safety net and lead to increased hunger and worsened poverty.
Washington, January 5, 2016 – The National Commission report released recently did not address the strategies that are basic to effectively ending hunger, such as strengthening and expanding nutrition assistance programs.
