Latest Emergency Package Includes Important Investments, but More Needs to be Done to Help Struggling Households Keep Food on the Table
WASHINGTON, March 25, 2020 — The compromise on the $2 trillion emergency package includes key investments that address some important COVID-19 challenges that workers, health care providers, and state and local governments face, but more action is needed to help struggling households keep food on the table. Lawmakers must boost SNAP benefits in any future stimulus packages.
