FRAC Honors the Life and Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

WASHINGTON, January 16, 2023 — Food Research & Action Center (FRAC) honors minister and social activist Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and his vision for a nation free from hunger. FRAC continues to be inspired by Dr. King’s transformational leadership on the issues of ensuring economic equality and ending racial discrimination. 

A Holiday Wishlist for Our Nation’s Children

WASHINGTON, December 8, 2022 — A group of national anti-hunger and education nonprofits have teamed up this holiday season to share a joint holiday wish list for fueling the health, learning, and overall well-being of our nation’s school children.

FRAC and More Than 900 National, State, and Community-Based Organizations Urge Congress to Strengthen CACFP in Year-End Spending Package

WASHINGTON, December 6, 2022 — The Food Research & Action Center (FRAC), AFSCME, Home Grown Child Care, National CACFP Association, National CACFP Forum, CCFP Roundtable, and more than 900 national, state, and local organizations signed a letter urging Congress to strengthen and expand the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) by adding an optional meal or snack for children in extended care. Congress must include this provision in any year-end package to reflect the program’s pressing needs.
