WASHINGTON, Nov. 6, 2025 – “FRAC is thrilled that the Trump administration has been ordered by a federal judge to fully fund November SNAP benefits,” said Crystal FitzSimons, president of the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC). “It never should have gotten to this point. From the very beginning, FRAC has made clear that the administration had the authority to issue full benefits but chose not to act. Millions of people will receive the full benefits needed to put food on the table, and states will no longer be burdened with the complicated, partial benefit calculations USDA had imposed.
SNAP is not only critical to feeding families, but is essential to supporting food retailers, farmers, and local economies. We applaud advocates from all across the country who joined us in sounding the alarm on the harm unnecessary delays to SNAP benefits are already causing. We urge USDA to provide immediate guidance to states to avert any further delay in the delivery of benefits. Hungry people can’t wait.”
