    Interactive Data Tool

This interactive map provides state-by-state data on participation in the free and reduced-price School Breakfast Program (SBP), as compared to participation in the free and reduced-price National School Lunch Program (NSLP). These data are based on FRAC's analysis of administrative data shared with FRAC by USDA and state nutrition and education agencies, and are featured in FRAC's report, School Breakfast Scorecard: School Year 2018-2019, released February 13, 2020.

Red dots represent large school districts included in FRAC's report, School Breakfast: Making it Work in Large School Districts, released February 13, 2020. You can scroll over a state to view these participation ratios.

States with at least 33% of their population living in rural areas are indicated with a triangle pattern:

Note: Works best in Chrome and Firefox.
